	StarSat is a company that is focused around our goal of facilitating communication between people. What this means is over the years we have gained deep experience when it comes to connecting disparate systems and data stores to produce information meaningful to key decision makers. We specialise in moving data from remote locations in South Africa into either custom software written for you or into your current solution. In time we have found that having a good, solid network-software framework was not enough but it had to look good too. and so we went on to establish our Graphics Design Department. The Terminal and its development

The Jadeaire POS (Point of Sale) terminal is the most popular and most user friendly terminal to date. The machine is robust and steadier in hand than most other handheld devices.

Development on the POS terminal is simplified as the basic setup includes a facility to accept newly acquired applications which acts as an added value to the POS terminal.

Because of the internal GPRS modem built into the POS terminal, transactions can be verified at the point of sale.
The battery pack enables the retailer to have a portable POS terminal giving him access to clients in rural areas and other inaccessible areas.

From a development point of view the GPRS modem allows the POS terminal to be programmed remotely so that all software updates can be done with out the user even being aware that it has been done.

The usefulness of the POS terminal is immense because of the infinite value adding possibilities. Loyalty programs are an easy add on, smart card reading abilities are currently being developed which will allow for the next generation of “shoppers”.

The POS terminal has a magstrip reader approved by Nedbank which allows most card transactions to be done on the terminal.
